THE PROBLEM We want to create a proyect related with the energy for the problem that Venezuela is happens,so one of the best ways to produce our own electricity is creating Wind Turbine.A wind turbine converts the energy of wind into kinetic energy. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, such as pumping water, cutting lumber or grinding stones, the machine is called a windmill. If the mechanical energy is instead converted to electricity, the machine is called a wind generator, wind turbine, wind power. Is our proyect we are going to work with mechanical energy to converted electricity.We decided to create a proyect related with the energy for the problem that Venezuela is happens, due to the drought and the absent of mantenimientso of the Reservoir Guri, which one of the most important and principal source of energy, has been lowered the wealth of the water, consequence of that Venezuela has been making plans to save and supply energy to solve the problem, so one of the best ways to produce our own electricity is creating Wind Turbine. Power from the sun and wind is 100% renewable and avoids all the impacts associated with commercial energy production from power stations,mall wind turbines are ideal for householders, communities and small businesses to use for on-site energy generationMETHODOLOGYWe decide to create a new source of energy to eliminate the problems of the electricity in Venezuela, building wind turbine in specifics places for a better useful and production of the energy. The objective are:
Supply the demand of energy of the population with vision to the future.
Eliminate the dependence of the water as a source of energy.
Eliminate or minimize the emission of carbon dioxide for the thermoelectric industries used to complement the energy.
ENGINEERING SOLUTIONWind power can be an excellent complement to a solar power system.Energy derived from wind power consumes no fuel, and emits no air pollution, unlike fossil fuel power sources. The energy consumed to manufacture and transport the materials used to build a wind power plant is equal to the new energy produced by the plant within a few months of operation.It's important that people planning permission in case of a problem. The turbine should be sited far enough away from living and sleeping areas so as not to cause disturbance. Consideration should also be given to neighbours in this respect - after all, they will not be reaping the free electricity from the wind turbine! Generally the wind turbine should be at least 6m (for 4m towers) or 8m (for 6m towers) from the house. To ensure safety, the tower should be sited away from buildings, cars and play-areas etc.
Wind turbines are not silent, but nor are conventional power sources (think of petrol or diesel generators!). The wind turbines make a swishing noise, caused by turbulence around the blades. The wind turbines producing less than 1kW of power are low-voltage machines, designed for charging 24v-48v battery banks. The wind turbines are very reliable. No strict maintenance is necessary, but the turbine blades should be checked regularly for damage, and to ensure that they are in balance, and the structural parts (tower, guy wires, anchors etc) should be checked for structural damage, cracks etc. Wind power is not a constant resource. For this reason you cannot generally run appliances directly from the turbine. Instead, there are three main ways to utilise wind power:
Store the power in batteries, for reuse when needed
Use the power to provide heating (especially useful as houses lose heat faster in windy weather)
